Say Goodbye to Your Shoulder Pain

rotator_cuff_tear2I’m sure most of you know that chiropractors primarily treat problems of the spine.

Do you have aches and pains in your neck and upper back? As a chiropractor, of course I am well trained and well qualified to treat those problems.

Do you have lower back pain? Yep! There is another area where my expertise trumps that of most other health care providers.

But, I bet you didn’t know that I also treat injuries to your shoulder. In particular, your rotator cuff. I consider my rotator cuff and shoulder injury care to be virtually equal to my ability to resolve problems in your back. Maybe even better.

When I graduated from chiropractic school in 2008, I joined a practice that treated many athletes with muscle and tendon injuries. During the two years I was there I gained a wealth of experience treating  rotator cuff injuries. The doctors I worked for were incredibly talented and incredibly skilled at treating problems of the rotator. I absorbed every tidbit of information they shared with me. I embraced every opportunity to work on patients with shoulder pain.

Skip ahead a few years, and I’ve taken my knowledge to another level. I absorbed everything my more experienced colleagues taught me, and I added my own understanding of human physiology and biomechanics to further my knowledge and skill set.

I’m almost 2 years into my own chiropractic and sports injury practice in San Mateo, California, and I haven’t looked back.

Incidentally, Most of the rotator cuff injuries I see in my office are relatively benign. Yes they cause pain and yes your injury can keep you from playing your sport or working out for quite some time, but that pain and that injury doesn’t mean you have to live with it for the long term. You just need someone to figure out the problem and address it. That’s what I do.

Feel free to read some of my Yelp reviews if you want to get a sense of the outcomes my patients have had under my care. Just do a search on Yelp for Dr. John Blenio, chiropractor in San Mateo. You will be able to read reviews and testimonials from people who had chronic shoulder and rotator cuff pain who thought they couldn’t work out or play sports anymore.
