About Dr. John Blenio
Dr. John Blenio, D.C.

I’m not going to fill this bio with fluff about neurology, biomechanics, or physiology. You should expect me to already know it, and you would probably have to Google some of the terms I would end up using just to understand it. I have my B.S. from San Jose State, and I have a 4 year Doctorate degree from Life Chiropractic College West.
I’m a regular guy. I like to watch sports. I workout. I educate myself, eat well (most of the time), spend time with my family, spend time with my friends, play golf, watch reality TV (Survivor is my favorite), play fantasy football, you name it.
In the work environment I’m the same person, but add in a lot of passion for what I do. I love my profession. Even more, I love to help people recover from injuries. The human body is an amazing mechanism, and trying to figure out how to fix a problem with it truly fascinates me. It’s a personal challenge, and I embrace it by taking everything I’ve learned and combining it with an intuitive understanding of how the human body works.
So, then the big question is; how can I help you?
I can help you by doing the following:
• Gather a complete history of your current and past lifestyle and health issues.
• Perform a thorough physical examination of your current problem.
• Recommend follow up studies such as x-rays or MRI if indicated (in many cases this is not required).
• Provide Active Release Therapy (A.R.T.) to damaged, tight, contracted, painful muscles and tendons. A.R.T. restores tissue function, disperses inflammation, improves range of motion, and decreases pain.
• Administer chiropractic adjustments to the spine and other joints within your body to restore range of motion, disperse inflammation, and decrease pain.
• Determine which muscles are dysfunctional, then recommend exercises, including strengthening and/or stretching of the appropriate body parts.
• Prescribe and recommend adjunct care with other health care practitioners such as; Physical Therapists, Orthopedists, Acupuncturists, Nutritionists, Massage Therapists, Personal Trainers.
What makes the care I provide unique and effective?
First and foremost, I can relate to you in many ways. Throughout my life I’ve personally experienced many of the conditions my patients have had, including; plantar fasciitis, a rotator cuff tear, tendonitis, a hamstring tear, headaches, lower back pain, neck pain, whiplash, ankle sprains, a knee ligament tear, jammed fingers and hand joints, broken bones, you name it. The list goes on.
All of this past history is a result of playing sports at a relatively high level (college football), being athletic, and participating in extreme sports (downhill mountain bike racing), among many other sports I’ve played competitively and/or recreationally.
What makes me more capable of resolving your current pain problem is that I resolve YOUR pain problems using many of the same techniques and methods that I used to resolve them for myself. I not only attack your problem utilizing the thorough knowledge base derived from my education, but I also attack it using empirical knowledge obtained from my personal experience.
To put it simply, I’ve been injured in many of the same ways you’ve been injured. I’ve recovered from my injuries completely, and at one point or another, I’ve utilized one or many of all the practitioners and methods I’ve described above.
In most cases, I can help you. If I can’t, I will help you find who can.
